Fall is so beautiful here in Atlanta, even if this photo is taken in New York City.
I tell my daughter there are three times of the day I absolutely love.
My quiet mornings at 6 a.m.
I’m alone with my coffee,
my thoughts, and
I write for 20 to 30 mins.
The 2nd part of my day,
I love my run.
It is the time again when I get to tap into my subconsciousness and
discover new connections and work priorities.
The last part of my day that I love,
is my husband making us dinner.
I’m on my laptop, maybe 2 out of our 3 kids are there to eat with us.
We watch Modern Family, talk and relax.
I do the dishes, prepare for the next day, and go to sleep early.
I love my days, but I’m too comfortable.
As I learned recently from my wise 11-year-old son Henry,
If we are too comfortable, we don’t change.
I need to create more connections,
I need to push for change.
This is how we grow.
"When you learn new things, these tiny connections in the brain actually multiply and get stronger. The more that you challenge your mind to learn, the more your brain cells grow. Then, things that you once found very hard or even impossible—like speaking a foreign language or doing algebra—seem to become easy. The result is a stronger, smarter brain."
Mindset by Carol S. Dweck
This is why change is good.
It forces us to grow.
I need to force myself to do something new.
That something is to make creative short videos to help inspire you to take control of your finances and to live your best life.
Unfortunately, the video didn't make it ;-) But at least I tried
